Daigle, who is in his first year with the Griffins after transferring to MacEwan from the University of Alberta, recorded a 27-save shutout on Friday in a 9-0 win over the visiting Briercrest College Clippers. That gives the 6-foot-1 goaltender back-to-back shutouts in ACAC action after he made 23 saves to blank the Concordia Thunder on Janurary 6th.
Daigle has not allowed a goal against in ACAC regular season action since November 26th when MacEwan beat UAlberta-Augustana 3-2. That’s a span of 127 minutes, 51 seconds, which is a program record. Additionally, his second shutout ties the institution’s career shutout mark. For the season, Daigle leads the ACAC with a 1.75 goals against average and is second with a .934 save percentage.
Marc-Olivier is enrolled in the Arts program and hails from Delson, Quebec.
Honourable mention goes to Spencer Fisher (NAIT) with 25 kills, 10 digs, and 3 service aces in back to back wins against the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder in men's volleyball action this past weekend.
