Case broke her own ACAC record in the women’s 600 metres during Saturday’s MacEwan University Invitational and she did it without anyone to push her, running the majority of the race way out front. The first-year Ardrossan high school product finished in 1:36.16. At Edmonton’s Kinsmen Field House last Saturday, Case was so far out front in the final heat that she won by more than nine seconds over SAIT’s Ricki Doyle. Later in the day, she helped MacEwan’s women’s 4x400-metre relay team win that race in 4:07.96, just shy of the ACAC record of 4:07.60. Case’s performance led the Griffins to the women’s team title at the event.

Honourable mention goes to Marla Sherrer (Red Deer College) who lead the Women’s Curling team to a 3-2 record at the ACAC Winter Regional, upsetting the 1st place Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder to clinch a spot in the ACAC Championships.
