SAIT Men's Hockey 2006-2010

With ACAC men's hockey having started its program in 1965-66, only two schools have ever won four-consecutive times in a row.

The first was the Edmonton-based NAIT Ooks 1983-1987 followed by the SAIT Trojans 2006-2010.

Including the two seasons prior to their four-banner streak, the Trojans, according to their Class of 2017 nomination, hold the ACAC men's hockey record of most consecutive seasons in a championship finals with seven (2004-2011) and most consecutive playoff series wins with nine (2006-2011).

Their championship run 2006-2010 was as follows, based on a best-of-five series: 2006-2007, SAIT 3 NAIT 2; 2007-2008, SAIT 3 MacEwan Griffins 0; 2008-2009, SAIT 3 Mount Royal Cougars 2 and in 2009-2010, SAIT 3 Concordia Thunder 2.

At the time of his retirement in 2014, Ken Babey, who coached the Trojans for 27 years and was also Athletic Director at SAIT for 17 years, had the most regular-season and post-season hockey games by a Canadian post-secondary coach (849), and the most regular season and playoff wins in Canadian post-secondary hockey (534).
