EDMONTON, AB (February 18, 2019) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Takeisha Wang of Concordia University of Edmonton has been selected as the 2018-19 ACAC female badminton Player of the Year (POY).

The Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder badminton team finished the 2018-19 ACAC regular season in second place with 428 points after three tournaments. Takeisha had an outstanding season for the Thunder, the 4th year bachelor of science major managed to go a perfect 9-0 in the women's singles division and a perfect 8-0 in the mixed doubles division with her brother Desmond Wang.

Takeisha's success both on and off the court make her an excellent ambassador for the institution and the Thunder athletics department.
