Clippers get best of Lions in Bible School Rivalry

Coming off of a strong first half of the season, the Lions were looking to end their semester on a high note as they took on Briercrest in a matchup that has a lot of history.

While looking at the standings, Briercrest was coming into the game yet to pick up their first win of the season while Ambrose was off to their hottest start ever in the ACAC, winning 6 of their first 8.  On paper, it looked like Ambrose would be able to roll to their 7th victory of the year, but the Clippers had other plans.

The Lions tried their best to get out to a fast start, achieving their largest lead of the game of 9 in the first half, but the Clippers would be the ones clawing their way back into the match this evening.

After 13 ties and 15 lead changes, it all came down to the 4th quarter with the Lions up 1.  In the 4th is when CJ Green made his mark on the game scoring the team's final 6 points.   With 1:10 left, Green made a clutch jump shot to put this team up for good.  He added another with 15 seconds left in the game to seal the deal putting Briercrest up by 4.

Isaac Gray picked up his second double-double in as many weeks, scoring 18 and pulling down 11 rebounds.  Sukhraj Nagra also played as strong as he has ever played in the Lion's Den, scoring 7 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in 13 minutes of action.  Josh Daniel led the Lions in points with 25.

Daniel and Greer were about the Players of the Game for Ambrose and Briercrest respectively.  The Lions will look to get back in the win column as they take on Briercrest again tomorrow at 3pm.
