The second game of the 2019 Men's Basketball Championship between the Augustana Vikings and the Red Deer Kings was a battle till the very end. The Kings come out and scored the first points of the game and the Vikings responded by hitting a three, it looked as if it would be a close game till the end. The Kings put a tough full-court pressure on the Vikings who were able to stay composed and breakthrough. It would be a physical game and the Kings would find themselves in foul trouble most of the game. The first quarter ended the Vikings were only up by 5 points with a score of 21-16. The second quarter the Kings would chip away at the lead staying with a couple of points most of the quarter. The Vikings go into halftime with the lead and the score of 42-40. The third was back and forth as the teams traded baskets a late 3 pointer by the Vikings #9 Michael Stasuik would help them stretch their lead going into the fourth and final quarter. The fourth quarter was mostly scored from the foul line as Red Deer found not only their team in foul trouble but most of their starting line up. The Vikings would capitalize off of the Kings foul trouble as they knocked down almost all their foul shots. A turn over by the Kings resulted in a score by the Vikings and the lead would to 6 points the would win tonights game 85-75.
