Power is the name of the game

Camrose, AB - Fans gathered despite terrible roads to watch the Augustana Vikings take on the GPRC Wolves on day two of the weekend matches. Vikings came out victorious the previous night so the Wolves were hungry for redemption.

Taking the lead early in all three sets, even if by just a few points, the Augustana Vikings held on. They got a taste of victory the night before and did not want to let go. Both teams played hard, but power was the focus of today's game. Phenomenal hits came from both sides and at the end of three, Vikings pulled out a win.

Bringing the Vikings to a win was player of the game, Jesse Weber, #11, with 16 kills and 6 digs. Taking home player of the game honours from the GPRC Wolves is #6, Kirk Testawitch with 10 digs, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 service ace.

We would like to thank the Girl Guides of Canada, Camrose Branch for being our 3-ball girls for today's game. This is the first branch to be established in Camrose and we welcome the chance to support our local children.
