In the rubber match between The King's University Eagles versus the Grand Prairie Regional College Wolves, the Eagles looked to have a repeat of their previous match, as they took their game in straight sets. The Wolves were hoping a fresh new day could help spark the team in finding their first win of the season.
In the first set, both teams looked even as they both battled for each point. The Eagles then made some headway as they were able to go on a small little run, to take an early lead. The Wolves tried to battle back, but the offensive power of the Eagles was just a little to hot to handle, as the Eagles took the set 25-16.
In the second set, the Eagles continued their momentum as they took an early lead over the Wolves, but the Wolves were able to claw their way back, tying the game up at 13 a-piece. Each continued to fight each point, but the Eagles were able to edge out the Wolves, taking the set 25-22.
In the third set, the Eagles were able to pull ahead early. The Wolves were determined to mount their comeback, but the strong arms of #7 Tanner Piers and #14 Jayden Hiebert, squashed any hope of that happening as the Eagles took the set 25-17 and the match in three straight.
The Eagles will be back in action at home versus the Concordia University Thunder, Novermber 2 @ 8pm
