In the first set, the Eagles and Thunder came out looking to take an early advantage over the other. The Thunder, were able to capitalize on some early errors of the Eagles to take the lead. But the Thunder just made few less errors as the they took the set, 25-21.

As the set grew longer, each point became more important as both teams continued to go back and forth. The Eagles just had a little more fight in them left taking the set 25-23, bringing the match to a 5th and deciding set.
In the final set, both teams fought hard for every point, but the Eagles were able to take an 8-4 lead at the half way point of the set. From then on, the Eagles took that edge and were able to run with it, as they finished the set 15-8, and took the match 3 sets to 2.
