Feb. 13, 2018 – Melissa Wooley scored 20 points and the SAIT Trojans knocked down eight three-pointers on their way to a 72-62 victory over the Lethbridge College Kodiaks on Tuesday night.
Lethbridge knew they would need their best game of the season to beat the Trojans and gave it their best shot, trading leads with SAIT throughout the first half. Amy Arbon had her shooting stroke going all game, leading the Kodiaks with 15 points and ten rebounds.
SAIT led 19-18 after a back and forth first quarter, but were able to expand their lead with an 8-0 run in the second. The Trojan's hard defensive pressure in the backcourt gave Kodiaks fits all night, forcing the Kodiaks into 22 turnovers on the evening.
The Trojans then put the game away with six three-pointers in the second half, hitting on 37% of their attempts.
