Clippers Ice Lions

Clippers Ice Lions

On a big rivalry night, the Ambrose Lions Womens Basketball Team had a difficult night.  Playing with only 8 eligible players due injuries, Ambrose tried their best to stay close to the offensively talent Clippers, but on this Friday night they couldn't.

After the first quarter the Lions were able to hold onto a 1 point lead but losing both 2nd and 3rd quarters squandered their chance of being able to come out with a victory.

Briercrest's Adrian Beck, was a large part of the Clippers success, scoring 23 points and shooting an outstanding 7-12 from 3 point range.  Tracy Lewis also had a strong game controlling the floor for Briercrest at the point guard position, as she picked up a triple double, scoring 25, assisting 11 and pulling down 16 rebounds.

Lewis picked up the Player of the Game award for the Clippers while Catarina Dimonekene won the award for the Lions.  Kariya Bruised Head also had a strong game for the Lions as she picked up a double-double herself, with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

It's quick turnaround for both of these teams as they rematch tomorrow afternoon at 1 & 3pm back in the Lions Den.
