Taking a Page out of the Basketball Book

It may have been cold outside but inside the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre things were heating up as the Keyano Huskies hosted the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women's basketball.

With Moiyan Toure windexing the boards at both ends and players like Tyshaine Page playing strong both ways, Huskies took a 13-4 lead before Wolves called a timeout halfway through the first period.

Once again, as was the case Friday night, a super-fast opening period with the Huskies leading 28-8.

Page, a fourth year guard from Kitchener Ontario, is having a breakout game for the Huskies who lead at the half  53-19.

With 10 rookies on the team, the Wolves start finding stride in the second half to slowly come back by outscoring the Huskies 17-16 in the third period.

Final score 92-55

Home Hardware Player of the Game for the Keyano Huskies is no. 15 Tyshaine Page with 15 points.

Augusta Kievisaite leads the Huskies with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Toure had  a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. Kaleigh Sellers came off the bench to also add 19 points

POG for the visitors is No. 11 Britney Peters with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
