The King's University Eagles took on the Augustana Vikings in a rematch, where the Vikings were able to beat the Eagles in their home opener last night. This was the first loss of the Eagles season, and they look to bounce back from their performance last night.
In the first quarter, the Eagles come out hot, scoring the first five points of the game. But the Vikings, were able to rally back as they got some key stops and scores. The Eagles continued to battle as they kept the quarter close as the Vikings lead a tight game 18-17.
In the second, it was the Vikings turn to come out hot, as they went on a 8-2 run early in the quarter. The continued to battle, but the Vikings were able push their lead further as they headed into the half up 33-21.
In the third, the Eagles came out flying as they started the quarter on a 6-0 run, but the Vikings caught fire late in the quarter, as they held onto their lead 52-40.
In the final quarter, the Eagles try to stage their comeback as they continued to battle for each point and stop the Vikings offence. But the lead for the Vikings was just too much as the Vikings were able to pull late in the quarter, as they finished the game 66-54.
The Eagles look to break out of this slump as they head to Lloydminister, to take on the Lakeland Rustlers, November 1 @ 6pm.
