After a 4 set game, Augustana Vikings managed to pull off a win against visiting NAIT Ooks. Vikings took the first set, Ooks took the second, and Vikings pulled of consecutive wins in the third and fourth. The score was close, within 5 points for every set. It was a close match but Vikings defeat the Ooks 3-1.
With double-digit kills from three different Queens, the RDC team swept the Olds College Broncos (25-13, 26-24 and 25-18) in a pair of weekend matches, winning their fourth in a row in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women' Volleyball South Division action.
With Jade Van Dyke's 8 kills, the Red Deer College Queens swept the Olds College Broncos (25-18, 25-20 and 25-21) on the road, winning their third consecutive match in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Volleyball South Division action.
After starting the game strong with a win in the first set, Augustana Vikings lost to the GPRC Wolves in a very close second set. The Wolves brought on the heat despite the cold outdoor temperatures and were on their game today, making the Vikings work for every point they earned. From the beginning, Wolves took the lead, Vikings scrambling to catch up but once they did, the plays were tight and the competition was at its peak.
On the strength of outstanding play and positive leadership from Britt Davis, the RDC Queens dispatched of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in four sets (25-23, 14-25, 25-20 and 25-19) to claim both weekend matches in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Volleyball South Division action.
A complete effort from the entire Queens Volleyball team helped them sweep the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in straight sets (25-21, 25-22 and 25-15) at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Volleyball South Division action.
