Clippers' streak continues

CARONPORT, SK- The Clippers and the Lions played each other Friday, January 17 in the evening with Briercrest winning in four sets.

 

Starting the first set, Briercrest gained momentum early on and pushed the game to 17-7. However, the Lions made a push to come back but despite the efforts from Ambrose, Briercrest took the set 25-14.

 

In the second set, Ambrose took the lead 4-7, but Briercrest came back to tie up the game 13-13. Ambrose again came back leading 19-14. But the clippers relentlessly pushed tying up the game once again at 20-20. Despite it being a back and forth game, Ambrose ended the second set 25-22.

 

In the third set, Briercrest took the lead 19-14. It was a close match but Briercrest held the lead and came in strong, winning 25-19.

 

In the fourth set, Briercrest pushed to win in the match. The Clippers took the lead 15-12 midway into the set. It was a close battle, but Briercrest pulled ahead and took the win 25-20 defeating the Ambrose Lions.

 

Player of the game for the Clippers was #4 Ashley Erickson attaining 9 kills, 11 digs and 39 assists. And for the Lions #5 Julia Kemper with 10 kills and 8 digs.
