Keyra Buziak, Lakeland Rustlers, Women's Hockey

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

In a three-game homestand, Keyra Buziak played a starring role for the Rustlers women's hockey team.

The third year forward from North Battleford scored six times for Lakeland, including two on Friday and four on Sunday. She also added an assist in Friday's game. Like many of her teammates, she also played solid, two-way hockey, putting constant pressure on the Broncos. This helped Lakeland to improve to a 4-1 record, currently first in the ACAC.

In each of her previous seasons, Buziak has been a point-a-game player for the Rustlers, totaling 44 points in 44 career games. She is now well on her way to eclipse that mark. Keyra Buziak hails from North Battleford, SK, and is in her third year with the Lakeland College Rustlers, taking Crop Technology.
