ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Samantha Atkinson was a driving force behind SAIT Mixed Curling’s championship success, leading the team to gold at the ACAC Curling Championships. Competing as skip, Atkinson guided the team with confidence and precision throughout the tournament.
 
Atkinson’s strategic decision-making and shot execution under pressure set the tone in key moments, helping the Trojans control games and capitalize on scoring opportunities. Her leadership on the ice played a critical role in navigating high-stakes matches and securing the conference title.
 
In her second season, Atkinson continued to elevate her performance, combining experience and composure to anchor a championship run that capped off the season on a high note.
Samantha Atkinson is a second-year student in the Business Administration diploma program from Calgary, Alberta.
