Sofia Bascello delivered a championship-calibre performance when it mattered most, playing a pivotal role for the RDP Queens Curling team during their run at the national championship.
Competing as the second on the women’s squad, Bascello was exceptional in every facet of the game, providing the consistency and intensity the Queens leaned on throughout the tournament. Her sweeping was relentless, her peels were precise, and her shot execution in high-pressure moments helped set the tone for each draw. Just as impactful was her presence between shots, keeping energy high and the team locked in from start to finish.
That steady excellence helped propel RDP to a CCAA gold medal, capping off an outstanding championship performance. Bascello’s contributions did not go unnoticed, as she was named a CCAA First Team All-Star, a well-deserved recognition of her dominance and leadership throughout the event.
