ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

This weeks senior night game was one for the record books, not only did the team finish the season with a strong win against the Augustana Vikings, we witnessed history being made thanks to yet another stellar performance from Jonathan Barwegen.

Jonathan secured his place in the history books by not only keeping his spot as the leading scorer in the ACAC with 24.4 PPG, 4 points ahead of the next closest, he also combined for 79 points in two games this past week, 32 on Thursday and a 47 point performance on Saturday. Jonathan became the King's University's all time leading scorer with 1368 pts. Jonathan not only earned player of the game in his final perfomance, his record setting week of 79 points pushed his grand total for the season to 488 points for the 2025-26 Campaign.

Jonathan's ability to score from anywhere on the floor, inside and outside of the arc, is truly something incredible to witness. His speed alone makes him a tough matchup for anyone to guard. His shot accuracy and solid perfomance had him ticking off every stat availble in this final week of games. We couldn't be more proud of everything Jonathan has accomplished on and off the court in his time with the Eagles.

This weeks perfomance by Mr. Barwegen is more than deserving of the ACAC player of the week. Jonathan Barwegen is a 5th year Bachelor of Science student from Lethbridge Alberta. We will surely miss him.
