2021-22 ACAC Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year

Edmonton, AB (March 23, 2022) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Hailey Hoogkamp of the Olds College Broncos has been selected as the 2021-22 ACAC Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year. 

Hoogkamp recorded nine goals and three assists for 12 points in her rookie campaign, which was tied for the team lead. Four of Hoogkamp’s nine goals were scored on the power play which was a team high on the season.

“Hailey is a tenacious forward that uses her speed and ability to put the puck on net to score a goal when the team needs it most.  Hailey has the potential to to be a dominant player at the collegiate level and her rookie season in the ACAC has been fun to watch”, said Broncos Athletics Manager Trina Radcliffe.

Originally from Lacombe, Alberta prior to joining the Broncos Women’s Hockey program, Hoogkamp starred for the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs U18AAA. When not on the ice for the Broncos, the 5’1” Forward studies in the Business Management program at Olds College.

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2022 ACAC Women’s Hockey Championship.
