2026 ACAC Women's Hockey Player of the Year

Edmonton, AB (March 13, 2026) –

WOMEN'S HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE YEAR, KEYRA BUZIAK: 

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Keyra Buziak of the Lakeland Rustlers season has been selected as the 2025-2026 ACAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Year.

The third year forward from North Battleford broke the league record for most goals in a season and tied the record for most points in a season (43), finishing with three more goals than any player in the league had points. She had more than a dozen multi-point games and helped lead the Rustlers to another spectacular season, where they finished first in the standings at 23-2. In addition to the regular season success, Buziak leads all players in postseason scoring with 8 points.

“Maturity, she has elevated her work ethic on and off the ice to find a new level to her game,” Head Coach Morgan Mann said. “She is a good teammate and loyal ambassador to our Rustlers Hockey program.”

Keyra Buziak is in her third season at Lakeland College, where she is taking Crop Technology. This award was recognized at the third game of the ACAC Finals, hosted by Lakeland in Lloydminster, Alberta.
