2026 ACAC Women's Hockey Rookie of the Year
Edmonton, AB (March 13, 2026) –
WOMEN'S HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, MARLY DUMANSKI:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Marly Dumanski of the Lakeland Rustlers season has been selected as the 2025-2026 ACAC Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year.
In her first collegiate season, Dumanski quickly established herself as an elite forward, finishing in a tie for third in league scoring, posting 10 goals and 14 assists. She also fit into the team system quickly, as the Rustlers continued to be the most dominant team in the league, losing just two games. Currently, she is tied for third in playoff scoring with 4 points.
“Marly has had a very impressive rookie season,” Head coach Morgan Mann said. “She possesses all the tools to score, a big shot and puck skills, physical strength, and a high hockey IQ.”
“Also, her sense of humour and positive attitude has made her fit right into our group.”
Marly Dumanksi is in her first year at Lakeland College, taking her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
This award was recognized at the third game of the ACAC Finals, hosted by Lakeland in Lloydminster, Alberta.
