SAIT Capture ACAC Badminton Gold in the Team Event

Edmonton, AB (February 21, 2026) - Day one of the ACAC Badminton Championships began with the team event to crown the best all-around badminton team in the ACAC. Teams competed in head-to-head matchups across men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, as well as mixed doubles. The semi-finals saw Concordia University Thunder inch past the NAIT Ooks by a single match, while The King's University Eagles fell to the SAIT Trojans by a wide margin. SAIT continued with this momentum to sweep the gold medal match up against Concordia, claiming their first ACAC Badminton Championship team title since 1994-95.
