Day two wraps up at the ACAC Curling Championships in Red Deer
Red Deer, AB – The Pidherney Centre was excitedly buzzing on the second day of competition at the 2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP). With eyes on the playoffs, the intensity and calibre of play on the ice was elevated on Saturday.
After 12 teams played a total of 36 games, the stage has been set for the playoffs.

After the 2 pm games, the teams in each division were ranked from first to fourth based on their record at the ACAC Curling Championships. Then the winner of the game between the first-placed and second-placed teams at 6:30 pm advanced directly to the gold medal game on Sunday. The RDP Men's team, RDP Women's team, and RDP Mixed Curling team have solidified spots in the championship games.
The semi-final draws to kick off Sunday, February 9th, at 9 am. The winner from each match will move on to play in the gold medal final, with the loser proceeding to the bronze medal final, both at 1 pm.
