RED DEER, AB – It was another beautiful day at Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer, AB for Round #2 of the ACAC Golf Championships where some low scores were posted causing some movement in the overall standings.

On the men's side, Jayden Dudas of MHC Rattlers had a phenomenal day on the course posting a 69 (-3) to move him into the outright lead at -1 under par. Right behind him is teammate Colby Friedrich who shot +2 over par followed by a three way tie for third place between Brodie Tyler (SAIT), Chase Broderson (MHC) and Jake Magee (SAIT) who all sit a +3 overall.

The women's field saw no changes to the top three spots of the leaderboard. Concordia's Kennedy Turcotte continues to dominate with another 75 (+3) performance which leaves her with a total of +6 over par and comfortable cushion on first place overall heading into the final round.  Dryden Gris of Medicine Hat College hangs on to second place with a 12 stroke lead on Voyaguer's Delaney Ross.

In the men's team event, the MHC Rattlers jumped the Trojans for top spot after shooting a combined 289 and +11 overall. After shooting a combined 295 on the day, the Trojans will have some work to do in order to catch the Rattlers as they are only 5 strokes back.

The MHC Rattlers hang on to the lead in the women's team event as they shot a combined 289 on the day. The Voyaguers women's team posted a combined 214 on the day to remain in second place and the Trojans finished the day off with a combined score of 243.

For the mixed team event, the MHC Rattlers remain in the top spot after shooting a combined total of 482 after two rounds. After some low scores on the day for the Thunder, they have managed to leap the Trojans for second place and are now only 17 strokes behind the Rattlers for top spot heading in to the final round.

The ACAC Golf season is coming down to the wire leaving some excitement heading into the final round of conference championships. All of the action will resume next Sunday, October 3rd, back at Alberta Springs Golf Resort where our ACAC Champions will be crowned.
