ACAC South Golf Regional - Day 1 Results

Medicine Hat, AB - A nice warm day in Medicine Hat led to some low scores for the defending ACAC Men's golf champion Medicine Hat College Rattlers. Chase Broderson (69), Colby Friedrich (71) and Jayden Dudas (71) all shot under par at Desert Blume Golf Club to help lead the Rattlers men to a 20 stroke advantage over the SAIT Trojans after day one of the 2022 ACAC Golf South Regional Tournament. Jake Magee was the low man for SAIT posting a 3 over par 75. It is a two-team battle between Medicine Hat and SAIT with the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder in third place and Portage College in fourth. 

On the lady's side, the SAIT Trojans have a 17 stroke lead over Concordia, with Medicine Hat 6 strokes further back in third. Portage College is in fourth after day one. Kristine Dixon (82), from SAIT and Ella Gifford (82) from the Thunder are tied for first with Libby Bourassa from the host Rattlers in third 10 strokes back. 

The golfers will be back on the course with the first group out at 11:33 tomorrow morning as the look to decide who will take top honours this weekend.
