Rustlers defeat Eagles 104-88

The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the King's Eagles Friday night in Lloydminster 104-88.

The Eagles came out strong, pressuring the Rustlers and playing strong defense.  The Rustlers struggled under the pressure, making poor decisions and turning the ball over.  At the end of the first quarter, the Eagles led 33-21.  The Eagles would maintain their lead in the second quarter, as the Rustlers struggled to hit shots.  The Eagles out-rebounded the Rustlers, helping them take a 52-42 lead at the half.  In the third quarter, the Rustlers came out fighting, cutting the Eagles lead to one with 2 minutes remaining.  The Rustlers would continue to have the momentum, taking a 71-68 lead after three.  In the fourth quarter, the Rustlers took a five-point lead early on and never looked back.  After being up four with 4 minutes remaining, the Rustlers would extend their lead to nine before going on to win 104-88.

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #2, PJ Gardner.  Player of the Game for the Eagles was #3, Aaqib Dhillon.
