Augustana takes first win at home

Camrose, AB - The Augustana men's basketball team managed to come out with a win after a tough battle with the visiting Keyano Huskies. The final score was 93-87.

The Vikings had a slight edge with a score of 23-20 after the first period. Slightly expanding their lead, they were up 46-41 heading into halftime. After the third quarter 68-58 was the score, with the Vikings still in the lead. The last 10 minutes of play were plagued with fouls on both sides, seeing a total of 4 players foul out. The Augustana mens team clinched the win with a final score of 93-87.

On the Keyano Huskies side fifth year guard, Chris Oppong took home the Player of the Game Award picking up 5 rebounds and 28 points. Houston Shackelford chipped in 21 points and Stefan Jovcic added 18.

Augustana Vikings veteran guard, Michael Stasuik, obtained 23 points and 9 rebounds, for which he was award Player of the Game. Spencer Marion added 10 rebounds and 18 points while Mason Hunter added an impressive 27 points.
