The Wolves welcomed the Nait Ooks to town for their season opener tonight. The crowd was large and ready for a great evening of basketball.
The 1st quarter was a crowd pleaser as 10 3-pointers were made. Ooks #7 had 6 points and GPRC #8 had 5 points during the 1st half. The score was tied at 25-25 after one. The Ooks dropped another 6 3-point shots and took a 57-39 lead going into the half time break.
Adrenaline Athletics performed during half time, showcasing some of their talent they will bringing down to Calfornia in March 2019, for a cheer competition.
The Wolves came out strong in the 3rd quarter, holding the Ooks to 19 points. #8 for the Wolves scored 6 points and and #5 for the Ooks also had 6 points.
The 4th quarter started with Ooks on top 76-55. Both teams battled hard in the 4th as the Wolves ran out of time, the game ended 88-73.
The Mr. Mikes Player of the Game for the Wolves was #8 Liam O'Hallahan with 16 points and 4 rebounds. For the Ooks #6 Darryl Broderick with 20 points.
Both teams are back in action tomorrow at 3pm.
