EDMONTON, Alta. - First-year head coach Slav Kornik led the NAIT Ooks men's basketball team to a 93-73 victory on Friday night in his first career ACAC game.
The game started out very exciting. It was full of back and forth battles of offense and defense, including a huge dunk early on by Ooks' Sean Clancey. The remained tight until after half when NAIT would eventually pull away, leading to a 93-73 victory for Kornik's Ooks.
Sean Clancey was named Player of the Game for the Ooks as he put up 29 points, 7 steals, and 5 rebounds. Jeremy Pynn would earn the honours for the Wolves with his 19 points and 10 assists.
The two teams will rematch on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
