EDMONTON, AB – In Friday night action, the Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder hosted the Keyano Huskies. In a highly competitive contest, the Huskies edged the Thunder by a score of 86-82.
The first half was a back and forth affair, with Concordia holding a 20-19 lead after the first quarter, and Keyano powering ahead in the second quarter and taking a 42-38 lead into the half. The game continued to by tight through the third quarter with both teams scoring 26 points in the third quarter and Keyano maintaining their four-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The final period saw the back and forth contest continue, with Keyano ultimately pulling away to take the contest by the slim four-point margin.
These two teams will do battle again tomorrow afternoon where the Thunder will look for a weekend split with the Huskies.
