GPRC Host Double Header Against Concorida Universtiy

The Wolves welcomed the Concordia Thunder to their gym for their Home Opener weekend. Coming off a lose the Wolves were hungry for a win.

Concordia put the first 2 points on the board before the Wolves #13 Darian Goertzen hit a 3 point shot. The quarter ended 24-21 for the Wolves.

Lots of scoring in the second quarter, back and forth buckets exchanged from both teams. At the buzzer #13 Darian Goertzen ties up the game with a shot from the behind the arc and the half ends 45:45.

The scored remained tied 3 minutes into the quarter until the Thunder pulled away by 5 points. The Wolves dug in and tied it back up at 57 with 5 minutes remaining. Thunder when on a 5-0 to go back up by 5 points. Again the Wolves fought back and went up 1 by a 3 point make by #13 Darian Goertzen. The quarter ended 73:70 Wolves.

The Thunder opened the scoring with a 3 point make from #2 Nicholas Gibb to tie the game back at 73. The Thunder go on a scoring streak and go up by 10. Wolves could not recover and the game ended 96:81 in favor of the Thunder.

Player of the Game for the Concordia Thunder was #6 Luka Korosec with 23 points and for the GPRC Wolves #13 Darian Goertzen with 29 points.
