Vikings are victorious against the Wolves

Augustana Vikings face off against the GPRC wolves this afternoon. Both teams came ready to play, but only one team can win. 

The game had an eventful 4 quarters with Vikings taking the win. 

In the first quarter, the Vikings had their work cut out for them as the Wolves came out strong. With back to back baskets, the score of the first period was 29 - 29. 

In the second quarter, the Vikings held their own but struggled to spread the gap against and the wolves. The fans were on the edge of their seats as both teams worked very hard to secure the win for themselves. The score going into halftime was 45 - 46. 

In the third quarter, the vikings managed to get a lead and create a gap against the wolves. With the final score of 73 - 61.

With such a close gap, the fans were on the edge of their seats. The fourth quarter had the fans awaiting the final result with the 73 -61 starting into the quarter both teams gave their final push. The Vikings passed, dribbled and shot their way to a score of 96 and the wolves focused hard on playing their best defense to keep the gap closed and increase their score. Within the final two minutes, the Augustana Vikings pushed to break the 100 point score. Despite the GPRC Wolves' best efforts, the Augustana Vikings came out victorious. 

The game ended with a final score of 96 - 75 for the Vikings. The home fans and players went home excited for the nights win. #5 Duressa Essa for GPRC Wolves, and #9 Micheal Stasuik, were tonight's players of the game.
