GPRC welcomes the Ooks in rare December ACAC Match
The Wolves and the NAIT Ooks met for the third time this season. In the previous two games, spectators were treated with highlight reel dunks. The third game was no different. Multiple crowd pleasing plays, TSN worthy blocks, and a strong student contingent made for an entertaining game. There were several swings in momentum and each side shared the lead throughout the game. The Wolves led by 5 after the 1st quarter, only to be trailing by 5 at halftime. The Wolves exchanged the lead in the 3rd but the Ooks led by 7 after 3 quarters and opened the game up in the 4th quarter to win 103-89.
The player of the game for the Wolves was #24 Saxon Joyes with 14 points and 2 assists and the player of the game for the Ooks was #23 Sean-Michael Clancy with 37 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. The 1-12 Wolves will look for redemption tomorrow in their final meeting of the regular season at 3pm. The NAIT Ooks will look to move to 8-6 on the season and further position their team in a playoff spot.
