Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference "To be Canada's premiere collegiate athletic conference by developing and inspiring leadership through excellence in academics, sport and citizenship"

Conner leads SAIT to opening night victory

CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 12, 2021) - The SAIT Trojans men's basketball team picked up right where they left off.

The last time the Trojans played an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game, it was when they won the league championship in March of 2020. They showed Friday that they still remember that winning feeling, as they beat the visiting Olds College Broncos 89-72 at SAIT's Campus Centre.

SAIT jumps to 1-0 to start the season. Olds College falls to 0-1.

Charlie Conner led the Trojans with 23 points, while teammates Amin Suleman and Marcus Masters added 19 and 18 points of their own.

The teams will meet again Saturday night, but back in Olds.

Conner and Adrien Deere were named Players of the Game for their respective teams.
