Wolves host Concordia for second game

The GPRC Wolves hosted the Concordia Thunder for the second game of the weekend series.

To start the game the Thunder went on a 9:0 run before the Wolves scored at 6:38. #20 Manny IIoka was the first to score for GPRC. Then a slam dunk from #20 GPRC comes at 5:30 to make the score 11:6, Thunder. A back and forth exciting first quarter for both teams. GPRC's #15 Kwane Okyere hits a jumper at the buzzer to tie the game at 19:19.  GPRC's #20 Manny IIoka has an impressive first quarter performance, including 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

First to score in the second quarter, #3 Valentino Vo, from behind the arc. The Thunder took control of the offense and outscored the Wolves in the first 5 minutes 14 to 8. The Wolves try to get the offense going, and fall short. Thunder 49 and Wolves 34 to end the half.

The Thunder slowly make a bigger gap in the score throughout the third quarter. Quarter ends 77:54, however not before #20 Manny IIoka steals the ball and hits a slam dunk.

#12 Mason Testawitch for the Wolves comes off the bench in the fourth quarter to score 8 points and grab some rebounds. The final score Wolves 75 to Thunder 96.

Player of the Game for the GPRC Wolves was #13 Abdul Al-tamimi.

Next home game for the Wolves is January 21 & 22 when they host The Kings University Eagles at 6pm & 1pm.
