Lightning hang on for the win

On Saturday, November 27, 2021 the Ambrose Lions and St. Mary's University Lightning played a very close and incredible game. Lightning just barely took the lead in the first quarter with 27-25. Both teams continued their strong performances keeping the score close at 47-43.

By half time, strong plays were made by Ambrose Lions players Isaac Gray with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists, as well as Linden Jackson with 11 points. Strong plays made by St. Mary's Lightning were Averie Armbrister with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 1 block, as well as Caleb Jipp with 12 points and Ryan Morck with 7 rebounds.


At the end of the third quarter, Lightning continued the lead with 70-56. The Ambrose Lions brought energy to the last quarter to close up the score again, ending the game with a close win for Lightning at 91-90.

 

Strong plays by the Ambrose Lions were made by #10 Issac Gray ending the game with a total of 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals and receiving player of the game. Other strong plays on the team were made by Jackson with a total of 24 points and 7 rebounds, and Isaac Amsing with 17 points.

 

Strong performances by the Lightning were made by the player of the game #13 Averie Armbrister who ended the game with 31 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks. Other strong plays were made by Ryan Morck with a total of 20 points and 14 rebounds and Caleb Jipp with 19 points.
