Wolves host Eagles for a double header mid week
The GPRC Wolves welcome back The Kings University Eagles for another game on Wednesday night.
As the 1st quarter gets underway, the Kings Eagles are the first to put points on the scoreboard. The Wolves react by matching the score 5-5. The Wolves playing hard to the end of the first quarter, the Wolves 15 trail the Eagles 16.
Coming into the 2nd quarter the Wolves take a 1-point lead. 4:40 minutes into the 2nd quarter, the score sits at 23-21 in the Eagles favour as the GPRC Wolves call a timeout. The Wolves drawing the foul go 2 for 2 to take back the 1-point lead. The Eagles call a timeout as the Wolves lead 30-27 with 2:20 minutes left on the clock. Finishing up the first half, the Wolves lead the game, 36-32.
Returning from the break, the Eagles quickly tie up the game 36-36. As the Eagles take the lead, the Wolves call a timeout at 2:55 minutes into the 3rd quarter. The Wolves take the lead with 3:30 left on the clock. The Eagles call a timeout with the score 49-44. With 25 seconds left the Eagles regain the lead as the 3rd quarter ends the score 58 for the Eagles 57 for the Wolves.
The Wolves starting out with possession immediately put up 2 points. The Eagles and the Wolves points go back and forth as the Eagles remain in front 72-68. With 3 minutes left in the final quarter the Wolves trail the Eagles by 1. The Eagles call a time out wit 2:13 minutes left in the 4th as the Wolves take the lead, 79-76.
With a very dramatic finish, the Wolves take the victory over The Kings University Eagles 87-79.
