Kodiaks Dominate Clippers in Tuesday Night Matchup

Lethbridge opens with an aggressive defense against Briercrest's fast offense for the first point.  Lethbridge responds with the first 3 pointer of the game—Briercrest sinking another point to respond. The teams trade back shots for an exciting neck-in-neck opening quarter. Lethbridge takes a four-point lead of 14-10 with three minutes left. In the last-minute Lethbridge jumps ahead 6 points to make it 20-10. With 1.6 seconds left in the quarter, they sank 2 foul shots to end the quarter with 22-10 for Kodiaks.  

Lethbridge sinks the first layup in the first seconds, but Briercrest's #4 responds with a 3 pointer. #8  Briercrest stops a shot with a strong block. Lethbridge gets a run of 8 points in a minute to put the score at 32-13 in their favour. Lethbridge #14 with a 3 pointer halfway through the quarter after jumping ahead 9 points. Briercrest fights hard to earn their points—sending the crowd cheering. Briercrest's #4 with a 3 pointer. Clippers hold a hard defense, but Kodiaks have jumped ahead to put away the first half with 48-24.  

Briercrest opens the second half with a unified and smooth play to score. Kodiak's # 9 with a 3  pointer. Kodiaks jump ahead 11 points, and Briercrest jumps 6 points to set the score at 62-30. The Clippers put up a good fight with a strong offense—#7 with a 3 pointer that sends the crowd wild. Kodiaks set the end of the third quarter to 74-37.  

Kodiaks open the quarter with the first point. Briercrest's #23 with two beautiful 3 pointers within the first two minutes. Briercrest Clippers with a stronger defense to slow down their plays.  Clippers jump ahead 8 points—not giving up the game lightly. Kodiaks put away the game with  54-90.  

Player of the game was awarded by Sports Intern Max Summach to Lethbridge Kodiak's #14 Aydan Card for his 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 12 points, and Briercrest Clippers' #4 Riley  Seaborn for his 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 13 points.
