Rustlers end regular season with comeback win

In their final night at the Lakeland gym, the Lakeland Rustlers played in another eventful contest.

Hosting the South's top team out of Lethbridge, Lakeland had a slow start offensively, trailing by 10 after the opening quarter and 15 at the half. In the third, momentum shifted and the Rustlers were able to close the gap to within single digits. Battling through the final quarter, physical play throughout the night culminated in an on-court incident that will have league officials reviewing the film. Rustlers centre Noah Simpson was ejected as a result.

However, Lakeland was able to maintain their play, pulling ahead in the final 5 minutes of the contest to win 83-72.

The Rustlers now have a weekend off, before quarterfinal competition in Calgary.
