The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings continued their ascent in the ACAC South with a 123-75 victory over the Olds College Broncos at the Ralph Klein Centre on Friday.
Jose Mauro Barrozo Junior was dominant for the CCAA's fourth-ranked Kings side (8-1) with 20 points and 16 rebounds; Deandre Rowe matched the 20-point output while also adding five assists and five rebounds, while Efe Iyamu and Tyrique Walters each scored 19.
Gurech Gurech led the attack for the Broncos (3-6) with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Kenny Bates posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Peter Adonri added 11 points and three steals.
The Kings and Broncos will face off again tomorrow at 8 p.m., with the home-and-home wrapping up in Red Deer to send both teams into their Christmas breaks. The game will be available on ACACTV.ca, as well as on TELUS OptikTV channel 1998.
