Men's Basketball TKU Eagles v. NWP Wolves
On January 11, the King's University Eagles Men's basketball team took on North Western Polytechnic at 3:00 p.m. in the King's University gymnasium.
In the first quarter, the Wolves came out strong, with Christian Liwanag hitting a great shot to open the scoring. Mitchell Crosina followed up with a sharp three-pointer, and Pierce Deditch added a key shot. Bradon Gillis was a standout on defense, and Kaiden Reid capped off the quarter with a strong layup. The Eagles answered with solid contributions of their own, as Gavin Ouellette drove hard to the basket for a great shot. Jonathan Barwegan was active in the paint, hitting shots and a layup, while Brock Stupar made a series of layups and passes. Benjamin Thess added a great shot, and David Loki capped the quarter with another solid shot
In the second quarter, the Wolves extended their lead with a strong performance by Mitchell Crosina, who made a great drive and shot, and Christian Liwanag, who added another key shot. Anthony Kibonge hit a great three-pointer, providing a spark for the Wolves. The Eagles responded well with David Loki knocking down a three-pointer, while Jonathan Barwegan made an impact with his passing, a hook shot, and a block on defense. Brock Stupar continued to drive the offense with great shots. Evan Castle provided a boost with two clutch three-pointers, and Joshua Povhe hit another big three-pointer to keep the Eagles within reach.
In the third quarter, the Wolves came out firing in the third, with Christian Liwanag contributing with two three-pointers and great passes. Kaden Gravengard added some key shots, and Anthony Kibonge continued his hot shooting with two more three-pointers. Kaiden Reid added a great three-pointer, and Brandon Gillis hit another sharp three-pointer to maintain the Wolves' lead. The Eagles didn't back down, with Logan Den Oudsten hitting a solid shot, while Jonathan Barwegan continued to make his presence felt with a great shot and tip shots in the paint. Brock Stupar added another great shot, and Joshua Povhe kept the pressure on with a key shot.
In the fourth and final quarter, the Wolves looked to close out the game, with Kaden Gravengard hitting a crucial three-pointer and Pierce Deditch adding strong layups. Brandon Gillis continued to contribute with great shots, while Anthony Kibonge kept his shooting rhythm going. Liwanag hit another important shot to maintain the Wolves' lead. The Eagles mounted a late comeback, with Benjamin Thess hitting a big three-pointer and blocking a shot on defense. Gavin Ouellette added another key shot, and Brock Stupar knocked down a critical three-pointer while dishing out some key passes. Jonathan Barwegan also hit a timely shot, and Logan Den Oudsten came through with a block and a strong shot
With high liveliness in the gym's atmosphere, both teams did a fantastic hardworking job in today's game.
