Ooks Jake Mykitiuk named ACAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Year & Top Scorer
Edmonton, AB (March 13, 2020) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce that Jake Mykituk of the NAIT Ooks has been named ACAC men's hockey player of the year, after also being named ACAC men's hockey Top Scorer sponsored by CCM Hockey.
In his 4th year at NAIT, Jake led the ACAC during the regular season with 54 points. He had 17 goals and 37 assists in 28 games played. Jake also became the all-time leader in NAIT men's hockey history as he now has 162 points in 111 games played, which puts him fourth all-time in the ACAC.
"Jake had an excellent season from start to finish. His game really matured this past season, and he contributed in so many ways to our team's success," said NAIT head coach Tim Fragle. "He should also be extremely proud that he is now the NAIT Ooks all-time points leader of a program that has been in existence for 55 years."
The St.Albert, AB., native was also selected to the ACAC's first All-Conference team. He is currently in the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
