CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 5, 2022) - The road teams dominated this weekend's men's hockey series between the SAIT Trojans and Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder.
One night after posting a 7-3 victory on the road in Edmonton, the Trojans lost by that same count to the visiting Thunder Saturday night in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game played at WinSport Arena.
SAIT moves to 5-3 on the season, while Concordia improves to 2-4.
The Trojans watched on as the Thunder amassed a 3-0 lead before finally scoring two of the their own to cut the lead to 3-2 at the end of two periods of play.
However, the Thunder then controlled the remainder of the game, outscoring SAIT 4-1 in the final 20 minutes to seal the win.
Thunder forward Peter Tomaras scored a goal and added two assists to lead the way for the visitors. SAIT's Dylan Schives recorded a goal and an assist in the losing effort.
Both Schives and Tomaras were named Players of the Game.
SAIT returns to action next weekend with a home-and-home series against the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings.
