CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 12, 2022) - The SAIT Trojans men's hockey team earned a sweep of the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings with their 6-3 victory on Saturday night.

The Trojans scored a pair of goals in each period, as they doubled up their guests in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play at WinSport Arena. One night earlier, SAIT edged the Vikings 4-3 in overtime.

Brandon Machado continued his hot start to the season, scoring two goals - including a short-handed marker in the second period that proved to be the game-winner. He now has 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) in 10 games this season.

Also scoring for SAIT was Chase Miller, Dylan Williamson, Zach Cox and Zach Huber.

Replying for Augustana was Owen Lamb with a pair, and Jack Hamly.

SAIT improves to 7-3 on the season, while the Vikings fall to 4-3-1.

The Trojans return to action next weekend when they will host the Briercrest College Clippers for a pair of games - Friday night at 7pm and Saturday afternoon at 3:15pm. Both games will be played at WinSport Arena B.
