Lethbridge Kodiaks vs Portage Voyager's Men's Futsal Championship

Lethbridge Kodiaks take on Portage Voyager'sin the first match of the Men's 2021-2022 Futsal Championships. Starting off with quick and high pressure in the offensive zone number 13 Vincent Dyck scores within the first 3 minutes. Adding to their lead number 21 Daniel Okpala sinks one less than 40 seconds later, taking Lethbridge's lead 2-0. After Portages goalkeeper Fiston Kiese receives a caution, Kodiaks number 22 Jaden Veluw scores off the free kick making that a 3-goal lead. Shortly after the Voyager's number 3 Bjorn Goolie gets his team on the board. Although Portage increased their offensive and defensive pressure, Kodiaks regain ball control where number 22 Jaden Veluw making that 4-1 for the Kodiaks. Kodiaks continue in keeping the offensive pressure high which pays off for number 9 Austin Price as he scores his first of the game making that a 4-goal lead for his team. Voyager's struggle in maintaining control which allows number 12 Kyeler Paxman-Viani to add another goal to the board.  After Voyager's number 10 Micheal Musanza receive a caution, Kodiaks number 22 Jaden Veluw takes the free kick where he was unsuccessful in getting it past Kiese. As Portage begins to gain momentum number 8 Mukire Kiroro with 33 seconds left in the first half was able to make that a second on the board. Going into halftime Kodiaks lead 6-2.

Going into the second half Voyager's brought way more offensive pressure forcing Kodiaks Trey Lukye to be on high alert. Facing many back-to-back shots Lukye utilizes his body and does not let a single goal past him. Despite the offensive pressure from the Voyager's once Kodiaks get in control number 22 Jaden Veluw gets his third goal of the game making that a 7-2 lead. As both teams offensive and defensive play stays high it become a battle of the goalies and number 3 Bjorn Goolie sneaks one past Lukye making that 3-7 for the Voyager's. Voyager's build off their momentum and number 9 James Ruhiga gets his first of the game shorting Lethbridge to a 3-goal lead. At the end of the
