MHC Rattlers dominant in semifinal win over host Rustlers

Lloydminster, AB - The second semifinal saw the top-ranked Rattlers facing the host Rustlers. There were a few wrinkles in the lineup for the home team, with Orrin Edigoffer out of the lineup and Temi Olonade in goal, as well as Nathan Tran serving a suspension for yellow cards.

Medicine Hat put lots of pressure on the Rustlers, trying to test their new keeper. Eventually, they broke through, thanks to Joao Nascimento, before Josh Malin quickly responded with his own goal. However, Joao Cintra put the Rattlers back up by one to end the half.

In the second half, it was all MHC, consistently putting the Rustlers in tough situations. Cintra added two more tallies for a hatrick while Matheus Tavares also got on the scoreboard. 5-1 was the final.

Goalkeepers Stafan Vrska and Olonade were the POGs.
