Nico Pasquotti Honoured as 2015-16 ACAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Year
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference is pleased to announce that Nico Pasquotti of the Lethbridge College Kodiaks Men's Soccer Team, has been selected as the 2015-16 ACAC Men's Soccer Player of the Year.
Pasquotti, in his second season, is enrolled in the Engineering Design and Drafting program and hails from Lethbridge, Alberta. In 10 matches played, Nico lead the nation in scoring putting the ball in the back of the net 19 times averaging just short of 2 goals a match which helped in him being named the Kodiaks' September Athlete of the Month. Nico helped lead the Kodiaks from a second to last finish last year to an 8-1-1 mark this season and a first place finish in the tough ACAC south division.
Coach Michael Racz says about Pasquotti's impact on the program, "Nico is so dynamic and has been dominant this season in the ACAC South. Not only does he have the skill to beat defenders one on one, he also has the strong work ethic and commitment to learn every play. He works tirelessly to create chances for himself and his teammates every time the ball is on his foot!"
"Nico has shown the composure of a true leader on the field in helping the Kodiaks to an amazing turn around season. He has found a balance as a student athlete and that just says a lot about his character. What an incredible honor," says Todd Caughlin. Manager of Kodiaks Athletics.
Congratulations Nico on an incredible season and this individual honor and good luck at Championships.
