Rustlers and Lions play to 0-0 draw

The Lakeland Rustlers and Ambrose Lions played to a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon in Lloydminster.

The Rustlers had several good shots on goal early in the game but were unable to get the ball in the back of the net.  The teams went back and forth for much of the first half, with Lakeland in control.  At the half, the two teams remained tied at 0.

In the second half, Lakeland had plenty of chances to score, but goalkeeper Jared Zimmer came up big for the Lions.  On the other end, it was goalkeeper Zach Wagner who helped control the ball for the Rustlers, and prevent the Lions from scoring.  In the end, neither team managed to score and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #2, goalkeeper Zach Wagner.  Player of the Game for the Lions was #1, goalkeeper Jared Zimmer.
