EDMONTON, AB (September 18th, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder took on the NAIT Ooks Sunday afternoon starting off in a back-and-forth battle, but Thunder unable to escape the zone resulted in a 5-0 win for the Ooks.

The Ooks had a strong offensive game, and their defense held their ground. #25 Gabriel Queiroz put NAIT on the board in the 25th minute making it 1-0. Soon after #10 Cristian Lima scored to make it 2-0. Thunder pushed to get their footing, but the Ooks continued at a fast pace. #13 Matthew Zima followed Lima and scored back-to-back goals in the 30th and 40th minute making it 4-0. In the 67th minute #12 Javier Cassie scored the final goal making it a 5-0 win for the NAIT Ooks.

The One Team Sport Players of the game were #6 Peter Jones for the Ooks and #17 Luke Drapala for Concordia. The Thunder return home Saturday, October 1st, to face the Keyano Huskies.
